1. Setting Power Options

2) Open Ie, click Tools and opt Internet Options. Under normal tab, opt Delete in Browsing history. Delete all temporary files.

3. Defragment disk regularly.

When you use a computer over time, fragments collect in the disk. They can slow down the data passage speed and therefore computer performance. And they are the main cause of disk errors, data loss and disk crash! But unfortunately most citizen underestimate the damages that fragmentations can Corollary in. It is requisite to defragment hard disk regularly.

You can use some defragmenter software to help you. Usually defragmentation once a month is appropriate. But don't overdo it. If you do it often you can bring damages to your hard disk.

All in All, you can allege hard drive by doing the three measures above. Fragmentations bring most disk errors, disk crash and data loss, it is requisite to defragment hard disk regularly.
