1. Insert the Windows Xp disc in into your Cd or Dvd drive.

2. Start your computer with the Cd in the drive.

3. A message will appear saying "Press any key to boot from Cd ". I normally press the space bar on the keyboard.

4. agree the partition where your former version of Windows is installed by making it blue.

5. Press D on the keyboard to delete the partition. You will be asked to confirm this by pressing the letter L on the keyboard.

6. To create the partition again press C on the keyboard. The computer will automatically create a size for you; press enter to agree to the size.

7. Then you will be asked to choose if you want to format your computer in fat32 or Ntfs. You should choose Ntfs and a quick format. If you have had big problems with your computer then I propose you choose a slow long format. When using Windows Vista or Windows 7 you will not be asked if you want Fat32 or Ntfs.

8. You are now on your way to formatting your Pc.
