First, the drive is aesthetically pleasing. The case of this drive is sleek and small. The "activity" Light is very unintrusive yet easy enough to see. Secondly, this drive is very, very quiet. I've transferred thousands and thousands of files and hundreds of Gbs worth of data and I for real have to go duplicate check it's for real transferring the files because with normal room Noise, this drive is indiscernible.

If it is not related to a computer, or if the computer is off or in standby, the hard disk draws 0 watts. When the computer is on, but not accessing the disk, it draws 4 watts. When actively transferring files, it draws 6-7 watts. This explains why the case is all the time cool. It automatically spins down the hard disk when inactive for a time. This does cause a delay when you access it, but it is only a few seconds.
